This is one of the lesser Alien films. It was very dark, grisly, and full of coarse language. Ah, but what movie nowadays isn't? As a sequel to Alien, it doesn't really reach my standards, but if it were a separate, individual movie, perhaps it would score better because it wouldn't be compared to the far-superior Alien(s). If this was on TV, yeah, I'd watch it. If this was rereleased like Alien, I probably wouldn't go see it. Of course, ALL Alien seqeuls are better-than-average films.

I think when I was younger I would of gone for Aliens being the better of the 4 as it was full of guns and violence, however as I have matured slightly the 3rd is now a positive fave more atmosphere better acting and cinimatography.

Entertaining, but probably the weakest of the four Alien movies. Cinematography is a bit disturbing as the first-person/speed and general 'tone' of the movie is strange. The alien is not as cunning, or vicious (it's also smaller isn't it?). Great acting, but a few 'pregnant pauses'. Reminds me of Spielberg's Encounters...<br>

I am sick of everyone complaining about this movie. Yes, it's dark and grisly but it's a HORROR MOVIE! While it needed some basic script revision, the idea and feel of the film is far superior to Cameron's feel good testoserone filled flick Aliens. I mean come on, who didn't want to see that little brat Newt get killed? The first sequel, while having some good points, was just not scary. We knew Ripley was gonna kick ass and we were more frightened for the Aliens than for her. Here, we're back in the dark world of the original and now Ripley does get killed. Perfect! It took guts not to pander to mainstream cry babies in making this film and I applaud it. Having said that, the gilm falters at moments and suffers from too many characters having no particular importance. Still, nice try.
