The dialogue is pretentious, and quite frankly boring. The battle scenes appear hurried and barely capture the grandness of Alexander's victories.
Furthermore, the acting just isn't up to standard. Considering the scope and talent of Burton, his performance is weak and unmemorable. It is left to Cushing and Jones to spice up the performance, but with such a weak scipt, their noble attempts still leave something to be desired.
With the forthcoming release of two new Alexander The Great movies, I wouldn't advise wasting your money on this film.
