Date  Helpful Rating 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Not the worstI think that any person that can think this is a bad movie Has not seen enough movies to know what they are talking about , If you dont understand it , grow a brain and if you think thats bad acting , try watching Coolio trying to play a drug hipe vampire in Dracula 3000 and Coolio was the best actor of all of the actors in that movie. Im not saying that this is the best movie but having watched way more than 100,000 movies since I was 5 years old , Id say this movie isnt too bad . I liked it. It ..IS.. set 400 years in the future, the action was good , the story line was fair I mean... what kind of person would want to live forever, it would be like having to stay in school for all eternity and see the same boring faces every single day , and by the way killing people because they are getting pregnant is a bad move because when someone like aeon finds out what your doing and why, do you realy think it will end well for you, killing inocent unborne babies and there mothers because there birth means your death , is just stupid , everyone has to die sometime , one thing my friend and I noticed , aeon is only ment to dress in black . Honestly do we care? I wont say this movie is one of my favorites, but it is an entertaining one. The visual effects are good, but more importantly the cinematography is highly stylized and reminiscent of the movie 2001, an account of what that generation believes the future will look like. The movie is not as dark as the tv episodes I have watched, overall, a visually satisfying movie. Was this review helpful? Sign in 3 out of 3 users found this helpful Ignore the negative Reviews...Its incredibly irritating coming onto a ratings page for a well shot movie, and seeing so many irrelavent negative comments. Please ignore them, because what most of them speak of doesnt affect the movie at all.
Some said the acting wasnt good. Thats bollucks, the acting was relevent for the Time that the movie was shot in, it was 400 years in the future, people change how they talk, they move to make it static and just like this time period would be a major error in judgement.
Also you will realize that most of these comments come from unenlightened people. Realize, its a Sci-Fi show you must suspend your belief that its not real. Some say its like the Matrix... and this is the same error most people make about Sci-Fi - The Matrix was not unique, though some unlearned people wish to make it so. Just because a movie has action and martial arts and happens to also be a Sci-Fi show does not make it a clone.
And, as with the rest of the unintellegent people on this review site, most dont understand that the strange elements were shot artistically. Its ART, people, not everyone is supposed to understand it.

I have never read the comics or whatever Aeonflux is from I keep forgetting, so one thing I thought the movie was missing is a connection with the main characters. In all the action you never really get a feel for them or there cause that they are originally fighting for. It was a cool movie with the action scenes and everything and I really wish people would shutup about how everything is like the Matrix because who seriously cares. If they are not cutting the exact scene from the Matrix and sticking it in the movie to save money then I really dont care if they slow down time or have some butt kicking people in it that remind you of the Matrix. There was tons of movies that came before the Matrix that you could say the Matrix copied from them, but who cares! Was this review helpful? Seems like they were trying to create a female version of the Matrix and failed totally at that. This movie is about an hour and a half but probably shouldnt have lasted more than 15 minutes. Its weird that Theron can go from Oscar perfomances to this garbage. I wouldnt recommend this movie unless your drunk, and it still probably would stink. Was this review helpful? Aeon flux is an unorginal idea trying to make it in a genre that is just about tapped out. Hey look a big ass diease killed off 99.9 of the earths human popluace most likely because of mtv...anyway the remaining .1 of humans have moved to the last super future city. There is no compellingly original story but ill spoil the dumb parts of it. Aeon flux (the main character) acquires the super power of bending grass toward her face. Aeon flux plays on the stereotype of in the future all women will be sexy and wear suggestive clothing...that diease must have killed off all the ugly people and not so ugly normal people. so woo there you go another god-forsaken idea from mtv Was this review helpful? The sound quality was excellent. The acting was average for the type of story this is. However, the actors didnt need to act well because the action carries this movie. Those who have seen Aeons debut on MTVs Liquid television know that shes a bounty hunter from the future-but being a fan will NOT get you through this poorly directed, ineptly written, ghastly acted excuse for a film. Fortunatley Charlize is a talented actress and very good in HER role. However, the rest of it was like a having a root canal.
