This is the worst nothing of a movie! Not even close to accurate nostalgia for 1987. To who ever wrote this crap, NOBODY listed to or cared anything about Lou Reed in 1987! That was the year I graduated in the largest Class in NY...I Know. Ozzy maybe. This film could have taken place in 1977 or 1997(based on the melancholy of all but one character) but not '87. This could have been a fun comedic masterpiece given the location and time period. Alas this is UTTER CRAP! DON'T SEE IT EVEN ON VIDEO. Get some popcorn and throw SuperBad in the DVD player and feel good about your decision lest you feel raped...like me. Was this review helpful? We couldn't wait for it to finish. Barley a love story, but if you are looking for laughs, jokes or even a story line, don't waste your money. It's not the same thing at all. As a matter of fact, this is more of a love story/drama than a comedy. Dont get me wrong, there are some funny parts in there. Most of them were covered in the trailer though. How many times can you see Friego punch James in the nuts? Seriously, who doesnt like seeing someone get smacked in the nuts? Its pretty funny.
