I had to stop myself from getting up and turning off the TV numerous times because I was so bored with it. I hoped the ending would turn the movie around, but it just made the whole thing worse. You never have to wonder which twin is which because Nicolas did such a masterful job of protraying both brothers. I was SORELY mistaken. This was by far a lame attempt at complexity and the only thing that we come to learn about these characters is that they are ALL completely pathetic. This film is totally orginal and unique...I loved it from start to finish. At times, I laughed so hard, I almost peed myself. When you see this movie, don't take it too seriously. Because in the end, you will be fooled.You can tell Meryll Streep really sunk her teeth into this role, and Chris Cooper is just simply wonderful in just about any role (but particularly suitable for this one), and ahhhh, Nick Cage--this is the best role I have ever seen him play. The movie takes you for a wild ride in the end, but remember, it is all in good fun. So sit back, and enjoy the ride. Was this review helpful? It was a wonderful surprise. The movie is full of everything needed in a film, although the ending was a little adrupt. I loved the characters, how they were weird, yet true to real life. The plot had life and the film came alive. I truely injoyed it, and consider myself lucky to have experienced such a movie on the big screen. Was this review helpful? Charlie is ";everyman"; and as such is a great, funny, poignant reminder of who we really are... Was this review helpful?
