Sign in 0 out of 0 users found this helpful acceptedPosted: 9/16/2006A review of Accepted by dancetothisbeat4 well, i was dragged to this movie because my friend wanted to see it. personally, it looked like it had some funny moments, but lately the comedy movies were getting @ier and @ier. as i started watching the movie, i was hooked. it was a lot funnier than i imagined. some characters needed a little more development, but overall it was a great movie. it teaches a wonderful lesson and really makes you think twice about what you want to do with your life. of course, you pretty much knew that they were going to win, you still feel happy and relieved that they did. this movie made me laugh a lot, and it was defniitely a lot better than i imagined. however, dont go into the theater expecting a great movie, because you might not get the same good effect that i did. It also shows that rejection isnt fun and that there is always somewhere that will ACCEPT you. Weather it be a school or a group of people or even a job you will eventually find acceptance. This is a great movie for people who are 14-18 years old just cause they are high schoolers looking for a college. I recommend this movie to any one who wants to laugh. Was this review helpful? Sign in 0 out of 0 users found this helpful i liked itso i thought this movie was very funny. i went and saw it with a bunch of my firneds who were going to college or would be startign soon, and we all agreed that if there was a college like this, we would all be there. this movie kept my laughing and almost compaired to the classic, Dumb and Dumber but not quite that good. nothing is better than Dumb and Dumber. but this one is easily a kind of close second. It was not at all,, even remotely realistic. I heard so many curse words, and bikini clad, drunks, that I was turned off by the movie, almost from the get go. If you want to go see a movie,,go see Snakes On A Plane. Now that was a good, funny and scarey movie.. I loved that one. Was this review helpful? When a movie isnt advertised or promoted much, it usually means it might not be very good. Accepted has been advertised very little, but turns out to be a very funny and entertaining movie. Bartleby Gaines (Justin Long) is graduating from high school but his years of slacking off have caught up with him because now hes been rejected from every college hes applied to. Unable to deal with his parents disappointment, he enlists his friends to help him with a plan. He invents a college and convinces his family hes been accepted to it. Hes sure hes fooled them until they insist on visiting the school in person. Now, he has to create an actual college filled with students. Once the word is out about the new college, every social outcast shows up to join. Now this group of social misfits has to show the world that no matter how different you may appear you can work hard and become anything you want to be.
Having seen a few previews for Accepted, we may have very well had the lowest expectations ever. The humor seemed juvenile, the premise absurd, and 28 year old Justin Long as a high school senior seemed ridiculous. As it turns out, we couldnt have been more wrong. The previews do not do this one justice! Accepted is a very funny, feel good movie. The comedy is fresh and fun, the story endearing and enlightening, and the characters are interesting and relatable. Justin Long is superb, and comedian Lewis Black is absolutely hilarious as the fake dean of the fake college. Accepted is great entertainment for guys and girls alike!

I have only seen the preview, but my favorite part was when the guy said, ask me about my weiner. My friend and i just burst out laughing! Lots of gags, good story and Justin Long is a great lead. I especially like the guy named Glenn, but I dont want to know what is in his Glennwads. They served them at the party after the movie. While they tasted good, I dont like the idea of eating anything with the word WAD in it.
