I love Abbott and Costello, and I love the classic Universal Monster Movies, so when I found this precious gem, I did 12 back flips. This film is great. Lon Chaney reprises his role as the Wolfman, and Bela Lugosi returns to play the role that made him famous. If only Karloff would've returned as Frankenstein, but Glenn Strange did the job. This film was made at a low point in Bud and Lou's career, but this shot them back up into stardom and they started plopping out a new chain of movies where they meet famous monsters. They went on to meet "The Killer, Boris Karloff", the Invisible Man, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and the Mummy. I'd recommend it to any fan of comedy or horror. I give it a 8.5 out 10. Here's a list of Celebrity-Monster Team-Ups that i'd like to see: 4. Charlie Chaplin meets the Phantom of the Opera. The two duke it out to see who gets the title as the best silent-film character. Maybe Maria from Metropolis could help out. 3. Jack Black meets King Kong. Wait a minute, didn't this already happen? 2. Shaq meets Godzilla. They're both about the same height, aren't they? Aaron Carter could coach Godzilla. 1. The Three Stooges meet Jason Voorhes. Heck, the Three Stooges could be paired up with any monster and it'd be hilarious. I love 'em.
