Like another reviewer, it was difficult for me to get myself to go to the theatre, but I am very glad I did so. The acting was on-target, and, yes, Angelina Jolie was excellent.

Please people this is not a forum for discussing your mundane and trivial thoughts on life. It is to simply review a movie that you have SEEN. Nobody cares what you think of Angie (especially her) or Brad just what you thought of the movie. Otherwise we don't care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is very good movie about a difficult subject. Not every movie is going to win Academy Awards. They are what they are. No more amatuer philosophers please.

SAVE YOUR MONEY Do something you will enjoy. There are a lot of other movies to see this weekend that you will enjoy, not this one. The acting was almost annoying. Slow story with no excitement. I also read the book and really enjoyed it. I too believe they picked the wrong actors for this one. Skip this one.

This was a difficult film to get myself to see because, like others have said, we all know what's going to happen. Unlike others, however, I never had any idea of all the efforts made to find him. Some may say we don't know enough of Marianne and Danny's marriage to really feel for the loss. I completely disagree. The beauty of this film is how much of the impact comes not from what you hear the actors say to each other, but what they don't. This isn't a pro-american, all middle-easterners are terrorists film. Instead, as you watch these people of different countries and different faiths, a glimmer of hope washes over you. You start to believe that the world isn't doomed to failure because of people who want to inflict terror or engage in war...you begin to believe that those of us who are committing to work together can bring a change to the world. Yes, lives will be lost in the fight for unity, but it is a cause worth fighting for. I believe

I went to see Daniel Pearle portrayed with a mighty heart...but came away more with the mighty heart of Mariane Pearle! They are both such genuine and lovng people! Far be it from me to critisize a film that was so lovingly put together for Mariane and Danny's sweet boy Adam. I spent months in the middle east in 1972 studying Hebrew and political science and ancient scriptures. The movie was like throwing me back 35 years to when I was in Baghdad and all the surrounding Arab countries! The sounds and feeling of those Arab lands came back to me in a flash. I could almost smell the atmosphere there! I really loved the way the story was told without over acting and the feel was really like being there. I thought it had the perfect touch to feel connected to a tragic event that we all grieved over and prayed for a better outcome! I totally related to the crying and screaming scenes! I lost my Mother on Mother's day of the same year and I saw myself in those scenes and felt the reality of grieving. It was very catharctic for me! I pray for Mariane and her sweet boy Adam. I had also read the book and felt that the film really did it justice! Thank you to all who so lovingly worked on this great project! I am definately stronger for having seen it and more compassionate! What greater compliment is there than this?

reading the mixed reviews make me more than interested to watch this movie. Deciding to watch a biopic depends on our being at least interested to learn about the person being bio'd. Removing our personal biases about an actress or actor gives us a better grip on how well a performance is. A good movie is generally rated on its entertainment value, if it has evoked strong emotion in the viewer, or if it has managed to get its message across or not. perhaps because I am asean with hispanic connections, movies that move me to tears and having a good weep is a good enough reason to watch a 'heavy' movie like this one. Besides, having watched most of Jolie's movies, even the Tomb Raider series, Angie's movies always have a brooding, intense quality to it. I kinda like that, in the same manner that I detest all of Nicolas Cage's attempts in acting. You cannot please all people all of the time.

I went expecting to really enjoy the performances and movie. NOT WORTH THE COST. There are so many other movies I should have gone to see. I did not enjoy Angelina Jolie's performance at all. She was even distracting and took away from the story line. I would suggust to everyone - pick another movie to see.

I could not forget who she, Angelina, was throughout the movie- Not a good sign for a good actress- Her accent was very poor, frankly it was awful- Meryl Streep she is not- There was a time she said a 2 sentence line and only 2 words in those sentences were even accented. Even Marianne Pearl said in TIME magazine when asked if she mastered her accent,

I saw this movie because i'd only vaguely known the story of Daniel Pearl's kidnapping and murder back in 2002 and i'm interested in journalism i was nine at the time that this occurred so i saw it and it was so emotionally overwhelming for me personally because it reminded me so much of my mother;s death because it was around the same time but it was very thrilling in a sense like an adrenaline rush because of the dramatic irony and all but let me tell you this movie is sad you will feel kind of shitty coming out of the movie theater it has the united 93 tone to it but it is a good movie its basically a dramatization of the events that took place in 10 days of trying to locate and rescue Daniel Pearl and the wife (Jolie) narrates this movie overall i feel A Mighty Heart was a good movie but not one i'd watch often because i'd cry again & again like i did at the end

The same people who write a comment or review on an unseen film are the same people who wish to censor literature, media, etc. I am always put off by the endless stories of Angelina Jolie, Brad pitt and their life decisions. But putting her in the same category as Paris Hilton is ludicrous. She has proven acting ability and this movie allows her the range to show it. I would encourage my kids to see this film as well as my parents. Daniel Pearl was a journalist who was kidnapped and murdered for several reasons. He attempted to search for truth, he wanted to write about it, and he was Jewish. Censorship contributed to his death. Hmmmmmmmmmmm

I don't usually follow foreign affairs and like movies not politics, but being a Jolie fan I went to see this movie. What a fabulous performance, this actress has such depth and range to her acting. I read reviews about what was this murder about, why do a movie like this and my answer is, it hits home to us humans to see the side of the person waiting and praying to have their loved one returned unharmed. The pain, anger, prayer, acceptance that comes with war and death. This character brought out all the emotions in me and this movie, even though we all know the story showed the human element, the one left behind, the life still here and broken, inner strength and the bravery to understand what has happened. I strongly recommend this movie to all with a heart, it will give you strength and a sad but true story with good acting. Being the wife of a Vietnam Vet, I can so relate and anyone with someone in Iraq will definitely relate to the tone of this story.
