Date  Helpful Rating 1 out of 1 users found this helpful  horrible in every way !Posted: 12/19/2009A review of 88 Minutes by blizzard_beast wow , who would watch this thing and feel any suspense is beyond me.Al looks old (is old) yet he had all those chicks flocking to him like he was a supermodel.The bad guy that kept saying 'tick-tock' was laughable. i mean , is that supposed to make people scared ? nervous? the plot $%&*ed , the acting was below average and the dialog insanely stupid.every time Al got a call it seemed like hours went by (movie hours) yet the bad guy kept saying 'you got 78 minutes' then 3 hours later 'you got 72 minutes' then 5 hours later 'you got 69 minutes' and so on and on.so glad i downloaded this crap for free.see it only if you hate yourself. Regarding the movie... Severely lacking in every aspect, whether it is entertainment or suspence. The acting is bad and Al Pacino is looking very tired and disinterested in this film. I saw this movie more than 2 months ago on a leaked website online, and to be honest with you, it is a movie that I will go pay to see again in the movie theaters. Al Pacino delivers yet another astounding performance. Playing the Psychiatric Forensic proffesor with a dark past, the twist at the end of the movie will leave you dumbfounded. I rate this movie a 5. I don't think Pacino could ever do a les than 4 star movie even if he tried. Was this review helpful? Let's clear the air a bit. Although I do not get paid to be a critic, I do offer different points of view. 88 Minutes, though not Al Pacino's best work, he still rates high in the acting ability for this movie. I, being an ordinary movie goer, want to be entertained and not have movies dissected because someone chooses to portray him or herself higher than the movies they review. This movie entertains. It may be a little drawn out, but then many movies are. The only agreement I have with a particular critic, was Al's hairstyle in this movie. To me, it was a bit distracting. I dare even refer to them as acting, but what ever they were doing on the screens was appalling. Even asked for our money back, but of coarse the manager was gone for the eve, in the bathroom hurly after seeing 88. So much to write about so few letters given. I don't know who did his hair but they made him look like an idiot. You will NOT be disappointed in HIM. Pacino is Pacino. No matter what role he plays, he always seems like a little, latin wise ass. You know what he's about before you pay your $11. I went to this movie because of him. I love watching him. Movie plot is fast paced and suspensful and completely unrealistic. But I bet you can't help play detective while you are watching it! All the actors did a good job as far as I'm concerned. Someone said in their review that all the women were hot. TRUE. Not one ugly in the pack. (Casting director likes good looking women. So what's the prob? ) Pacinos character was probably way too wealthy. TRUE. (Purely writers fantasy! So what's the prob?) This is a movie people! A good suspense movie at that. I guess to make it more "appealing" the producers decided to insert two lesbians (not the lipstick kind), and even showed them making out. Come on. The whole movie stinks! Crummy plot,unbelievable realities (incredibly rich crime pychologist with plenty of staff and a hot car and a hotter social life).88 minutes seemed like 88 hours of overacting,conflicting paraphrases and characters, and just plain movie boredom.
