Just because the asian girl didn't get the guy. And, just because it was not an asian actor, don't spazz. Okay?-they pick the actor about how well they act, not what the race is. Its a movie. Its not going to be exactly like the book. But, anyway, it is wonderful (but maybe that's just to the few of us out there who enjoy a good action flick) Was this review helpful? It was pretty believable and it was fun to see Vegas and identify with walking through the same doors as the actors, etc. I would have ended it a bit differently, but the whole movie was very good. I was surprised that this movie has been out for quite awhile, but it was still so crowded that several people couldn't even find seats and had to walk back out of the theater. I would say, go 15 minutes early, or you may not get a seat. This move was fun, interesting, well acted, believable, and tense in parts, funny in parts. You won't regret seeing it. I was completely suked in from the start, and I wanted more at the end. Great acting. I've never been a huge fan of the blonde chick but I am now. She does a great job in this movie. The lead guy actor is amazing too. He makes you feel everything the character is going through. And you jump for joy when the professor gets his. The plot rocks, of course, this is based on a true story so that helps. The only time the movie slows, in my opinion, is when lead guy and blonde chick get it on. I'm no prude. I'm all for sex in movies, but this part just seemed out of place. I think they should've just given you the impression that they slept together. Anyway, I highly recommed this movie to anyone over 17 who's looking for a good time.

Let's see an MIT student accepted into Harvard medical willing to risk it all on "21." Yep didn't miss the premise, but sure missed the quality. An hour into the movie and it was time to leave. Poor acting, even poorer sound. This movie may have grossed $21m last weekend, but I bet it doesn't get any repeat customers.
Now if you are into blackjack, you may get some tips, but if you want to see a good movie visit Blockbusters. Was this review helpful? My friends and I were going to a show and this was the best thing out and we thought that even if the movie *^*#ed we'd at least get to look at Jim Sturgess for 2 hours. Luckily, it turned out to be a great movie! It had a good message in the end, and while some parts were a bit slow, it had a mostly fast plot that kept our attention. Was this review helpful? The writers and director should be beat to death by Laurence Fishburn for the ruination of a good book and a better story. With the exception of Fishburn the characters were not believable and that includes Kevin Spacey's part. At times it was a bad copy of "Risky Business" with gratuitous pans of the Las Vegas strip and casinos. This movie was more predictable than the weather in San Diego and more sophomorish than any high school comedy skit. I am in the process of suing the theater for my time and money not to mention pain and suffering. Hopefully after litigation I can crow "winner , winner chicken dinner". Was this review helpful? Putting the three excellent Spiderman movies aside I can't remember the last time I gave a new movie a "10". Well, the streak is over. I enjoyed "21" as much as any movie in recent memory. The acting was tremendous, the storyline exciting and the ending superb. It was a story and movie I enjoyed from the moment it began. Perhaps the fact that I enjoy playing cards and making an occasional trip to the casino had something to do with my appreciating of the story itself but even without that it was a great movie. Kate Bosworth was not only gorgeous but very convincing in her role. I would nominate this for an Academy Award, I liked it so much. Best ten bucks I've spent at the movies in a very long time. This movie is "inspired" by a true story - which means they took the concept and made a fictional story out of it. Those expecting a true step by step account of the actual story will need to find it elsewhere, but since I didn't read the book nor do I expect truth out of something that is "inspired", I enjoyed it for what it's suppose to be -ENTERTAINMENT.
