| Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and Samantha (Kim Cattrall) attend a baby shower for Laney (Dana Wheeler-Nicholson), their friend who used to be a wild-living party girl but has settled down and become a typical suburban mother. Charlotte has always wanted to have a daughter, and seeing Laney makes her wonder if she'll ever have a family of her own. Carrie, on the other hand, is late for her period, and wonders how she'll deal with parenthood if her pregnancy test comes back positive.
