Synopsis
If Bonanza Muchinsci didn't exist, some writer of barely probable adventure tales would probably have made him up. Bonanza is a one-time professional bank robber who gave up that career for the marginally safer life of a snake wrangler and salvage dealer, and he has a thousand tall tales about his criminal and not-so-criminal pursuits that he'll enthusiastically share at the drop of a hat. Documentary filmmaker Ulises Rosell visited Bonanza's combination snake farm and salvage yard on the outskirts of Buenos Aires accompanied by a camera crew, and Bonanza was the result, in which he holds court with his son and daughter, goes through his daily routine, and shares memories of his wild and wooly past. Bonanza was screened at the 2001 Buenos Aires Independent Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
