Admittedly, the first part of the evening did have its
moments. That bow-of-the-ship sunset kiss kicked things off nicely and then it's
back to her stateroom for a little charcoal-sketch time. And that romp around
the boat that ended up in the back seat of the ... moreRenault? Fine and dandy, even if
the whole "trembling" element was a tad overplayed. Did the ship hit an iceberg
or was it the climax of young love that blew a hole in its hull? Nope, it was
the iceberg, which really put a damper on things. Jack was shackled in handcuffs
(though not in a way he might have enjoyed) and by the time Rose freed him and
they made it to the top deck, the bloom was off the evening. Still, if only she
had climbed in the lifeboat like he told her, Jack could have floated on that
door in the middle of the Atlantic, all by his lonesome, waiting for the rescue
that would reunite him with Rose. But no worries, Jack. Your heart will go
on.
