When negotiations between producers ... more and Roger Moore for "Octopussy" hit a snag, Brolin was approached, screen-tested (opposite Octopussy herself, Maud Adams) and claims he even signed a contract. But then Moore returned and Brolin never got to don the tux. Strangely, Brolin told an interviewer in 1998 that the producers had no intention of having him adopt a British accent -- they simply hoped audiences wouldn't notice that Bond had suddenly become a Yank.
