worse: Mom is depressed, hates
Ray's father (which you can't blame her for, since he cheats and seems to care
only for the family dog) and drinks too much. Wait, it gets worse yet: Mom needs
sponge baths and massages, likes to flirt and, well, ultimately, dominates a
full-blown incestuous relationship.
Meanest Moment: Drawing Ray into a relationship is bad
enough. But on top of that sin, we're also nominating Susan's controlling manner
when Ray attempts to go out with a girl. Because of all the inappropriate
behavior with his mom, Ray finds himself in an unusually aggressive sexual
moment with the girl. He's bound for a life of female misunderstanding ... and
that's probably just the upside!
Memorable Quote: "Your father never did this." -- Susan's
response after her son gives her a foot rub.
Maternal Comeuppance? No. Though he nearly kills his mother
in one scene and, finally, runs away, we don't know what kind of abyss he's
