Wanda Sykes: Sykes is one of the best stand-up comics in America, having honed her skills with Chris Rock for five years on his HBO series as a performer and writer. Her TV shows include FOX's "Wanda at Large," and Comedy Central's "Wanda Does It," in which Sykes gets a new job... more every week, having nothing to do with comedy. (Hiring guy: "Before you can repo, you have to take a drug test." Wanda: "OK, OK, give me like a week or so.") Her memorable film roles have included "Monster-in-Law" and "Evan Almighty." In 2004 she published a book of comic essays, "Yeah, I Said It," taking on race relations, the battle of the sexes, and the fact that Hollywood hires attractive actresses even to play unattractive characters. And don't miss her rant about the plastic-surgery craze. ("[Bleep] the college fund, now you gotta put something away for your child's makeover fund.") Let's hope there's a sequel in the works.
