Mike Wallace, 90, May 9: The eminent "60 Minutes" interviewer has interviewed leaders and controversial figures, unflinchingly, throughout his storied career, including Ayatollah Khomeini, Malcolm X, Yasser Arafat and Ayn Rand. His interview style is smooth, but there's almost... more always a "gotcha" for the camera; if you're a crooked pol or greedy corporate head and you hear Wallace is coming to chat with you, be unavailable. Though Wallace formally retired from "60 Minutes" in 2006, he remains a special correspondent for CBS, his longtime career home.
