Lost in Space

2007 - Hudson Squawk: Before the Oscars, Jennifer Hudson had been spot-on with her red-carpet choices, stepping out in one glam gown after another and showing all those size double-zeroes with rumbling stomachs how a real woman dresses. So what the heck happened on the big ... morenight? Did the dishy "Dreamgirls" star become so overwhelmed by the oodles of haute couture she was showered with that she panicked and blindly grabbed at the first objects that caught her eye, which unfortunately were her pet snake and a can of silver spray paint? Hudson looks downright hiss-sterical (groan) in a metallic python shrug that looks like something the flamboyant Dr. Smith would have made out of one of Will Robinson's aluminum foil jumpsuits on "Lost in Space." Hud adds to her woes by pairing her futuristic faux pas with a ruched chocolate gown that might have been passable if it didn't come complete with silhouette-destroying pockets that are deep enough for her to carry her loose change, keys and Academy Award.
