Bill Cosby (July 12): He's
mastered stand-up, TV, film and, of course, Jell-O Pudding commercials -- but
mostly, Cosby became America's favorite uncle while blazing trails as an
African-American performer. "The Cosby
Show" ruled prime-time television in the '80s, but interestingly,
... more Cosby won
his three Emmys for the '60s drama "I Spy."
He's a favorite on the lecture circuit and has written several books, including
the best-seller "Fatherhood," and the forthcoming "Come On, People: On the Path
from Victims to Victors." He survived personal tragedy (his son Ennis was
murdered in a random holdup) but his sense of humor and heart are intact. "Gray
hair," he's said, "is God's graffiti." Write on!
