tabloids went on a full-scale Daniel Craig hate-fest, pummeling him over his
looks, his background and his inability to drive a stick shift. But the haters
were proven wrong when the action-packed, intelligent and tough "Casino Royale" hit theaters and was one of the best pictures of
2006 and, on top of that, easily one of the top 10 greatest Bond films. Up next
for this harsher, grittier Bond is the oddly titled "Quantum of Solace" (helmed by, of all people, Marc Forster, he of "Finding Neverland" and "Monster's Ball") and we're ready to be shaken, stirred,
disturbed and thrilled. We better be, or we'll rescind our love for Craig by not
singing along with Carly Simon's "Nobody Does It Better."
