HOLLYWOOD BAD BOYS: Jack Nicholson and
Warren Beatty, 72nd Annual Academy Awards,
2000 Back in the day, horndogs Nicholson and Beatty, along with pal Marlon
Brando, hosted legendary parties in their digs up on Mulholland Drive, nicknamed
Bad Boy Drive. The "Easy Rider" and "Shampoo
... more" stars earned their reps as big-time
Casanovas and MCPs: Nicholson allowed as how, "I'm no deeper than this: My
philosophy is more good times"; and Beatty, pre-Annette Bening, once quipped that his "notion of a wife at
40 is that a man should be able to change her, like a bank note, for two 20s."
No wonder it's generally assumed that Carly Simon's "You're So Vain" was inspired by Shirley MacLaine's little brother. When the Academy honored
Beatty, now a respectable husband and father, with the Irving Thalberg Award in
2000, ever-devilish Jack had his longtime friend's back -- and the Bad Boys of
Mulholland Drive still had the hang of looking mighty good. (Trapper
