Marc St. James, "Ugly
Betty" Has scheming, grasping and sycophanting ever been quite
this delicious? (Since "Dallas," I mean?) St.
James, the sidekick/court jester/Rasputin to the imperious Wilhelmina (Vanessa Williams) never seems to break a sweat in his
Armani ensembles. Played... more with panache by the classically trained Shakespearean
actor Michael Urie, Marc knows how to play every side
against the middle. And his hair is perfect. (Of course, the show's star, Betty
Suarez, is Marc's complete opposite, being loyal to boss Daniel while keeping
her own moral compass amid the chaos, pointing unwaveringly at Queens and her
true family values.) Close
