Jessica Biel started her career as a musical-theater
performer and a teen model. In 1996, she was cast as a preacher's daughter on
the long-lived WB TV show "7th Heaven," and soon rose to fame. During her time
on the show, she tried to get out of her contract in
... moreorder to pursue a film
career, going so far as to participate in a risqué photo shoot for the
men's magazine Gear. That stunt got Jessica fired from the show and out of her
contract. However, she didn't find much success in movies, and soon returned to
"7th Heaven" for guest roles. More recently, her film career has been more
rewarding; she's appeared in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," "Blade: Trinity," "Stealth" with Jamie Foxx and Josh Lucas, and, in October, alongside Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom in Cameron Crowe's "Elizabethtown." Close
