"Greed is good" is the motto of Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas), the rapacious corporate raider in Oliver Stone's take on the profit-at-any-cost business philosophy and hollow values of Reagan's America. The hit drama, inspired by the insider-trading scandals of the 1980s, earned Douglas an Oscar for Best Actor and, in a screwy bit of confused signals, turned corporate dark prince Gekko into a hero and the film into the Bible of Wall Street traders. Charlie Sheen is the naive young stockbroker who becomes Gekko's protégé and gets swept up in the life of easy money and lax morals, and Daryl Hannah, Martin Sheen, Hal Holbrook and Terence Stamp co-star. The two-disc 20th anniversary edition features commentary and an introduction by director Stone, deleted scenes with optional commentary by Stone, the new featurette "Greed is Good," and the archival "Money Never Sleeps: The Making of Wall Street."
