PG,1hr 29min Released: December 8, 2006 Director: Distributor: Warner Bros. Pictures Starring: DVD Review by Sean Axmaker, Special to MSN Movies This sugar-rush comedy about kids stranded in a snowbound airport on Christmas is a kind of "Breakfast Club" meets "Home Alone" for the children of divorce. There's the snooty rich girl, the geeky gadget genius, the scrappy tomboy, the chubby oddball, and the everykid nerd who pulls the misfit group of teens and tweens making the familiar holiday trek between homes into a junior strike force. It's hardly comic genius, but kids will enjoy the adolescents making monkeys of the adults, and parents have the apoplectic fits and sardonic rants of a sputtering Lewis Black and plenty of cameos by sitcom faces to distract them. Tyler James Williams, Dyllan Christopher, Brett Kelly, Gina Mantegna and Quinn Shephard are the kids, and Wilmer Valderrama co-stars. Features commentary by director Paul Feig, Black, and the writers; deleted scenes; and "Charlie's Dance Reel" with more movies from Williams. Wide-screen and full-screen versions on a single two-sided flipper disc. | ||||||||||||||
