"The Ten" in the title of this comedy refers to the Commandments – you know, the big ones carved in stone by divine will – and each gets its own vignette in this comic anthology. "Well, kind of. It's more like, maybe someone kills a person, or maybe someone takes the Lord's name in vain, and a comedy sketch is created around it," writes Associated Press critic Christy Lemire. "Characters wander in and out of one another's episodes -- someone who has a minor part in one becomes the star later on -- and certain catch phrases ('Let's do it to it!') get repeated. Other than that, don't look too hard for cohesion. But there is an absurd, deadpan vibe in the beginning that's appealing." Directed by David Wain from a script he co-wrote with actor-comedian Ken Marino, it features Adam Brody, Famke Janssen, Gretchen Mol, Paul Rudd, Winona Ryder, Liev Schreiber, Justin Theroux and Jessica Alba (among others) in various episodes. Also features commentary by Wain, Marino and Rudd, almost an hour of deleted and alternate scenes, and "The Making of The Ten" featurette among its supplements.
