Interpol agent Clive Owen and Naomi Watts, New York assistant district attorney, take on an international banking concern tailored for the mob, totalitarian dictators, rogue nations and others who like the bundled services, like selling munitions and financing the terms. Think of them as the GMAC of international arms dealers. This altogether self-serious thriller is a timely piece of conspiratorial intimation and multinational economic power, and is a sleekly produced, if efficiently anonymous, entertainment. There's plenty of spectacle, including a high-caliber shootout in New York's Guggenheim Museum, and director Tom Tykwer ("Perfume") executes with a brisk efficiency, a driving momentum and an impersonal professionalism. For all the breathless action, it's neither passionate nor urgent. Features commentary by Tykwer and writer Eric Singer, and four featurettes (including one on shooting at – and shooting up – the Guggenheim). Exclusive to the Blu-ray edition is a bonus digital copy of the film for portable media players and "The International Experience," an optional picture-in-picture video track.
