The Edge of Love

Matthew Rhys plays Dylan Thomas in John Maybury's drama of the poet's ménage-a-trois life with wife Caitlin (Sienna Miller) and his childhood sweetheart Vera (Keira Knightley). Rhys plays Thomas as a spoiled child, and the women aren't particularly interesting until the mix of friendship and rivalry gets stirred up. It's inspired by real events, but the story is awfully uninvolving for all the salacious suggestion and gorgeous visuals whipped up around it. Cillian Murphy co-stars as Vera's soldier-boy sweetheart. Both the DVD and Blu-ray editions feature commentary by director Maybury and actor Rhys, along with the featurette "Looking Over The Edge of Love," outtakes and the trailer.
