(Note: This review refers to the Blu-ray version of the DVD.)

Dan Brown's high-concept conspiracy novel became a cultural phenomenon, but beneath the ancient conspiracies and historical speculation is a boilerplate plot for a paperback thriller: the search for the Holy Grail as a cliffhanger thriller in the modern world. With the upcoming release of "Angels & Demons," "the Da Vinci Code" gets a Blu-ray release that includes both the theatrical cut and an extended cut that runs 28 minutes longer. The two-disc set also features commentary and 17 featurettes, plus exclusive new select scene commentary, a picture-in-picture video track, and an exclusive clip from "Angels & Demons."
