Writer/director Sean Ellis sculpts the mood with eerie images and restrained direction; his way with hushed sound and suggestive imagery recalls Japanese horror but offers his own take. It's not particularly scary, but the mystery is compelling and sense of social dislocation and uncertainty makes for a gripping tale. Other films in the series include "Autopsy" with Robert Patrick, "From Within" with Jared Harris and Adam Goldberg, the South Korean "Voices," "Perkins 14" and "Dying Breed." Available as a box set and separately. | ||
