Don Cheadle is Ralph Waldo "Petey" Greene Jr., an ex-convict with a gift of straight-talking gab that lands him a job as a deejay on a Washington, D.C., radio station in the 1960s, and Chiwetel Ejiofor is program director Dewey Hughes, who wrestles with Petey's explosive personality while protecting him from the conservative ownership, in the drama based on the real-life partnership and friendship of these two men over two decades.
