Step Brothers

The once indomitable run of Will Ferrell comedies hits a rough patch with this largely plotless exercise in grown men behaving with the juvenile irresponsibility and self-centered obsession of spoiled children. John C. Reilly matches Ferrell for willful obstinacy and screaming tantrums when their enabling single parents (Mary Steenburgen and Richard Jenkins) move in together. The DVD features both the theatrical version and an extended unrated version (8 minutes longer), along with commentary, extended and alternate scenes and outtakes (just how much of this film was improvised, anyway?). The 2-disc edition features more deleted and alternate footage and featurettes, plus a bonus digital copy of the film for portable media players. Blu-ray viewers can edit their own music video.
