PG,1hr 58min Released: November 18, 1994 Director: Distributor: Paramount Pictures Starring: DVD Review by Sean Axmaker, Special to MSN Movies (Note: This review refers to the Blu-ray version of the DVD.) With all six films featuring the original Enterprise crew on Blu-ray, the next logical step is the "Next Generation." Captain Kirk (William Shatner) formally hands over the bridge to Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) and his crew in "Star Trek: Generations" (1994). They fly solo in "Star Trek: First Contact" (1996), which pits them against the Borg and sends them time traveling once again. But the series is getting decidedly tired with "Star Trek: Insurrection" (1998), in which they battle a genocidal F. Murray Abraham, and with "Star Trek: Nemesis" (2002), in which they take on evil doubles of Picard and Data. Each disc features all the commentary tracks and featurettes of previous DVD releases, plus new commentary and all-new HD featurettes and interviews. The fifth disc, "Evolutions," features even more featurettes for the Trek-minded fan. | ||||||||||||||
