"Friday the 13th" auteur Sean S. Cunningham combines the raunch of "Porky's" with '60s beach movies for this sand-and-sex comedy of horny college boys hitting Fort Lauderdale for the break. The dumb little throwaway of wet T-shirt pageants and belly flop contests was made when such films were still cheap productions cranked out for drive-ins and grind-house theaters, sold merely on the lure of skin and an appearance by 1982 Penthouse Pet of The Year Corrine Alphen. It must have worked: It was a box-office hit.
