R,2hrs 9min Released: October 24, 2008 Director: Distributor: New Line Cinema Starring: DVD Review by Sean Axmaker, Special to MSN Movies Family loyalty and police brotherhood are on the line in Gavin O'Connor's drama of a police corruption scandal. Edward Norton and Noah Emmerich are cop brothers in an Irish clan torn between duty and truth when brother-in-law Colin Farrell goes out of control with corrupt schemes. O'Connor never captures the edge of danger and anger or moral conflict, and the climax makes the gestures of honor and redemption mighty convenient. Curiously enough, the 67-minute documentary "Source of Pride: The Making of Pride and Glory" is a compelling profile of the production and the police culture behind the film. Also features a digital copy of the film. | ||||||||||||||
