Catherine Zeta-Jones stars as a workaholic superstar chef in an upscale Manhattan restaurant whose well-ordered life is suddenly complicated when her sister's death leaves her guardian of her orphaned niece (Abigail Breslin). With greater culinary skills than social skills, her struggle to nurture her new responsibility is compounded when the restaurant owner (Patricia Clarkson) hires a new, easygoing chef (Aaron Eckhart) who moves into her kitchen and into her life. It's a faithful remake of the German foodie romance "Mostly Martha." "What's missing is the easy charm of the German film -- which was no masterpiece," critic John Hartl wrote on MSNBC. "Charm can be a difficult thing to reproduce, and director Scott Hicks works overtime to pull it off. Occasionally he delivers, thanks mostly to his handling of a talented collection of actors." Bob Balaban co-stars as her therapist. Features an episode of the Food Network show "Unwrapped" that profiles the film and goes behind the scenes with the actors. Also available in HD DVD and Blu-ray formats.
