National Treasure

Just in time for the sequel (ain't it amazing how that always happens?) comes this new edition of the hit adventure film starring Nicolas Cage as an obsessed historian who steals the Declaration of Independence (to save it from a ruthless criminal, of course), teams up with a beautiful National Archives administrator (Diane Kruger), and races his nemesis (Sean Bean) to the hidden treasure of the Knights Templar. Think "Raiders of the Lost Ark" by way of "The Da Vinci Code," with the connections between the founding fathers and the Masons (and, by extension, the Knights Templar) contrived for dramatic effect. The original release included documentary featurettes, two deleted scenes and an alternate ending among the supplements. The new edition features four new featurettes and additional deleted scenes.
