DVD Review by Sean Axmaker, Special to MSN Movies Jet Li is a doting dad, street criminal and undercover spy rolled into one in this really strange Hong Kong action film from 1995. Mom is dying; Dad's on the run (his criminal cover is so good even the cops are after him); and Junior is adopted by detective Anita Mui, hot on Pop's trail. The action (courtesy of director Corey Yuen) is flashy and flamboyant, and the melodrama is suitably overwrought, but it takes Li's tortured sense of duty to make it all work. Features commentary by Hong Kong cinema expert Bey Logan and new interviews, but the same old English dub soundtrack from previous DVD releases. | ||||||||||||||
