Meet Dave

Eddie Murphy plays both the captain of a crew of miniature space invaders on Earth and the spacecraft itself, the human-shaped Starship Dave, as it navigates the dangerous waters of urban America in this high-concept comedy. Variety critic Joe Leydon describes the comedy as "lightly amusing and surprisingly sweet" and proclaims that "Murphy himself is allowed to shine as the pic's most special effect." Ed Helms is his humorless second officer, Gabrielle Union is his smitten No. 3, and Elizabeth Banks is a single mom who Starship Dave and its dedicated crew gets to know during the mission. The sole DVD supplement is a comic "crew confessions" featurette with the actors in character.
