Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

The third film in this animated franchise sends the growing prehistoric family and friends into an underground Jurassic Park. "There are chases and escapes, morals and messages, comedy and character," writes MSN critic James Rocchi, "but when the fur stops flying, it still feels more frozen than fresh." It was 3-D in select theaters but strictly two-dimensional on DVD. The "Scrat Pack" Double DVD Pack features filmmaker commentary and a second disc celebrating the scruffy, screwy ground squirrel Scrat, with two very funny animated shorts plus featurettes on the creation and development of the character. Also includes colorful behind-the-scenes featurettes on the feature itself. Also available in a Blu-ray combo pack, but copies were not made available for review by press time.
