High School Musical 3: Senior Year

The Disney Channel's "High School Musical" was the highest-rated original programming in the history of the network, and "High School Musical 2" turned it into a cult phenomenon. So Disney took the third film to the big screen with director Kenny Ortega back at the helm and the cast intact: jock basketball team captain Zac Efron, class brain Vanessa Hudgens, rich girl Ashley Tisdale, along with Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and the rest of the kids who break into song and dance at the drop of a backbeat, whether they're onstage, in the halls, or on the basketball court. "It's sweet and old-fashioned," writes MSN's Cinemama, "a guilty pleasure that scales nicely to the big screen. Fans will love it, and it's a safe choice for kids who won't be seeing the inside of a high school for quite a few years." The single-disc DVD features the theatrical version of the film and the cast's farewell to East High, while the two-disc "Extended Edition DVD" and three-disc Blu-ray version feature an extended cut of the film with deleted scenes, bloopers, an optional sing-along lyrics track, featurettes and a digital copy of the film for portable media players. The Blu-ray edition also includes bonus profiles and Blu-ray live supplements and a bonus DVD of the film.
