Galaxy Quest

There's an entire cottage industry in parodies of "Star Trek" and tributes to/satires of the Trek phenomenon. This spoof, about the aging cast members of a cult science fiction TV series on the convention circuit who wind up in a real-life space adventure, is still the funniest of the bunch. Tim Allen is the film's Shatner, who basks in the spotlight of has-been adoration, and Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman and Tony Shalhoub are the co-stars in the shadows of his egomania. The new edition features a bunch of newly created and perfectly disposable retrospective featurettes with the cast, creators and others commenting on the film's inspirations and legacy with more attention than it really deserves.
