Blue Thunder

Roy Scheider hijacks an experimental attack helicopter when he discovers that it is the key element in a conspiracy of secret urban surveillance in Los Angeles. John Badham's high-tech, 1983 conspiracy thriller is more concept than story, but has slick action scenes and features Warren Oates in one of his final screen roles (he died before the film was released) and Malcolm McDowell as the sinister head of the conspiracy. Includes the supplements from the earlier DVD release: commentary by director Badham, editor Frank Morriss and the motion control supervisor; and three featurettes.
