This live action adaptation of the popular Japanese anime is an awkward and odd international hybrid: shot in English by a French director (Luc Besson protégé Chris Nahon) with a Hong Kong action choreographer (Corey Yuen), a cast of Brits posing as Americans, and Japanese actors performing in English. Gianna stars as the part-vampire immortal demon hunter fighting a vampire infestation in 1970 Japan, and Allison Miller is the American girl caught in the middle of a demon war. It's a bizarre mix of sensibilities that falls apart into a mess of splashy action spectacles and awkward culture clashes as confused as the accents. Includes the featurettes "The Making of Blood: The Last Vampire" and "Battling Demons: Behind the Stunts." The Blu-ray features exclusive storyboards.
