You don't have to play an instrument to be a rock 'n' roll star, at least for the competitors in the U.S. Air Guitar Championships. They turn rock star miming into a flamboyant performance art in an effort to represent the country at the 2003 world championship in Oulu, Finland, where they apparently take their air guitar very seriously. The documentary by Alexandra Lipsitz doesn't take it quite so seriously as it follows two hopefuls and rivals — C-Diddy (aka David Jung), who goes all samurai (complete with Hello Kitty breastplate) in his performances, and New Yorker Björn Türoque (aka Dan Crane) — in a tour of the unusual subculture. It won the Audience Award at Austin's SXSW festival. Features deleted scenes, bonus air guitar performances, behind-the-scenes footage, and "Where Are They Now?" updates.
