If paparazzi photos are any indication, Lindsay Lohan's daily rehab routine involves
loitering outside the Cirque Lodge in Utah in kicky casual-wear while puffing on
cancer stick after cancer stick. But is the substance-susceptible starlet's stay
at the swanky facility about to come to an end? Despite reports that she would
be released into the wild this weekend after nearly two months of treatment, her
oh-so-helpful mother is setting the record straight, sending an e-mail
to "Access Hollywood" to tell them, "Not true -- staying in Utah." Adds an
insider to People, "Lindsay is not leaving ... any time soon. She has a few more
weeks to grow and develop, and she is doing great." When LiLo is finally ready
to sprout (with or without a blackened lung), it's anyone's guess where she'll
end up. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, locations in contention currently
include Montana, Colorado and New Mexico, all of which provide plenty of open
space for her second-hand smoke.
Miley Cyrus is turning the recent Internet hoax about a faux pregnancy into a
platform to discuss premarital sex. Or more specifically, her disapproval of
premarital sex. The squeaky-clean "Hannah
Montana" star, who's all of 14, tells "Extra"
that she -- like chastity-declaring blondes Jessica Simpson and Britney Spears (d'oh!) before her -- believes
abstinence makes the heart grow fonder. "It's given me the street cred to stand
here and say that would be impossible because I am living my life the way I
think it should be led," she declared at Us Weekly's Hot Hollywood party on
Wednesday, "and that is staying pure." She echoes to E! News, "Now I get to
stand my ground and say, hey, I don't really believe in that and I think it's
not cool. I think it's better to wait for marriage and that's me here saying
that. I'm not doing anything like that and so pregnancy is impossible."
"I feel I've learned so much this past year, so I'm grateful for that, so
yeah, that changes you." That's T.R. Knight, talking to Ellen DeGeneres on Thursday about how his decision to come
out last October has affected his life. When questioned about stars who opt to
stay in the closet, the "Grey's
Anatomy" actor remains diplomatic. "Everyone has their own path. You just
have to respect that," he offers. "I don't think it's right to force that. It's
impossible to know. There's a lot of soul searching you have to do." Knight also
chatted with Ellen about his BFF status with "Grey's" co-star Katherine Heigl, revealing how she surprised him on his
birthday with a gift that keeps on giving. "She showed up at my house ... with a
dog," he said. "I had been talking about [getting one] for a while. I guess
there's a point -- too much talk and not enough action. So she made the
decision." He christened the pup Arrow.
Reason No. 439 why we love Jenna Fischer: The "Office"
star makes no apologies for the gold-flecked gown with a gargantuan bow she
donned for the Emmys. "I know there was a lot of controversy about my dress. I
ended up on a few Worst Dressed Lists," she writes on her
MySpace page. "But, man, did I love it. I know, I know ... the bow was as big as
my head. BUT ... I loved it! It was flowy and silky and ... did I mention that I
LOVED it!? I saw Tim Gunn on the red carpet and he said that he
liked it. So, I have that."
At the tender age of 20, Evan Rachel Wood has already accomplished plenty, from
establishing an acting career to landing an ookily inappropriate boyfriend in Marilyn Manson. But there's still so much more she wants to
do, including putting out her very own album. "I'm probably even more passionate
about music than acting, but I don't want to do it half-assed," the starlet, who
shows off her pipes in the Beatles tune-filled flick "Across the Universe," proclaims to Arena magazine. "And when
I do, I get to deal with the rumors flying around that my boyfriend wrote all my
songs and that I'm just using him for a singing career! Wouldn't that be great?"
It looks like it's a done deal, name-wise, for Usher's offspring. The R&B crooner is excitedly gushing
to various media outlets that new wife Tameka Foster is expecting a boy. You'll
recall that last month, he told Ellen DeGeneres, "If it's a boy, I'm going to
name him Usher. I'm the fourth -- Usher Raymond IV. I just want to pass the name
on." While the tot's moniker may come with plenty of expectations, Usher says
he's keeping his own in check. "I just want my son to fully be coherent and to
be healthy, first and foremost," he told People at Tuesday's New York launch of
his new perfume. "I've found that it is a step-by-step process. You can wish for
a million and one things. But I hope that my son has the same energy I had as a
child. Hopefully, he won't be as bad as me. I hope that he's just a healthy
son."
