Reunion Rumblings Hit Aniston & Pitt at Toronto Film Fest
Jen & Brad rendezvous pooh-poohed; plus, Beyoncé's $5 million bauble, twin talk for Ashlee & Pete, baby burblings for Uma and Lindsay, along with news on Kate, Justin and more ...

For weeks, the tabloids have been breathlessly touting the possibility that Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt would cross paths during their respective promotional duties at the Toronto International Film Festival (she's plugging "Management"; he's pushing "Burn After Reading").

"Brad seeing Jen!" blared a recent In Touch cover, which claimed that Angelina Jolie found time between breast-feeding twins Vivienne and Knox and mothering Maddox, 7, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2, at the couple's palatial French chateau to be "furious" over the unlikely prospect that the exes would get in some face time.

Turns out it didn't take long for the rumor mill to crank up as the former golden couple, who split in January 2005, descended on the festival.

The London Daily Mail says there are whispers that the newly John Mayer-less Aniston had a "business dinner" with Pitt on Sunday night, the same evening she turned up at her flick's premiere looking preternaturally toned in a flashbulb-sheer (her modesty was preserved, thanks to a pair of pasties) Balenciaga dress in her de rigueur black.

But when we contacted Jen's rep for comment on the tête-à-tête talk, he was quick to dismiss the rumblings as a load of hooey.

"That story is complete rubbish," Stephen Huvane tells MSN Entertainment. "Never happened."

What's more, Brad reportedly blew out of town Saturday night, ostensibly to return home to Angelina and the kids.

Meanwhile, Us reports the ex-lovebirds were so determined to avoid a chance encounter that they gave each other a wide berth even when it came to their accommodations, with Aniston crashing at a downtown hotel while Pitt stayed a couple miles away.

As for the actress, she's apparently had little time to dwell on her breakup with the blabby Mayer, what with her appearance in Toronto and her recently filmed guest-starring role on "30 Rock."

"Things couldn't be better," she bubbled to People at the premiere. "Busy, but it's great."

One thing that perhaps could have been better was the reaction of some of the multitude of fans who lined the streets at the "Management" screening.

LaineyGossip.com reports that Aniston's SUV was surrounded by a crush of admirers as soon as it pulled up, with a few overzealous types even climbing on the back of the vehicle.

But Jen reportedly handled the situation with aplomb, keeping things calm by patiently signing autographs.

"It's great to see people come out and support the film," she told People. "So far, I'm having a ball. It's lovely to be here."
