It's been quite an eventful few days for Bradley Cooper. Not only did the blue-eyed, B-list
blond sign a divorce agreement with wife-of-four-months Jennifer Esposito, but he's also upped his profile in
a big way thanks to his alleged wooing of two A-list actresses.
If the latest romance rumblings are to be believed (and that remains a
honkin' "if"), Bradley has been quite the busy little bee, wining and dining Jennifer Aniston and texting sweet nothings to Cameron Diaz.
Let's start with the former Mrs. Pitt, Cooper's co-star in the forthcoming
(and not-at-all ironically titled), "He's Just Not That Into You."
According to Star, the actor, 32, and Aniston, 38, who is inevitably linked to every guy she happens to nosh
with, recently had a "romantic dinner" at the urging of Drew Barrymore, a co-producer on the flick (she's
also starring).
"Jen wanted it quiet and low-key, so he invited her to his house, and it was
great," a suspiciously Cooper-enthusiastic source rhapsodizes to the tab. "Brad
lit some candles and made dinner. He's a good cook. They made a good connection.
She loved his house, loved his dogs, and more importantly, loved talking to
him."
Perhaps they even reminisced about his fine work as the designated asshat in
"Wedding Crashers," which starred Aniston's barrel-chested ex,
Vince Vaughn.
Jen, who was last spied in the company of British model Paul Sculfor, is
"really excited" about Bradley, maintains the mole, who helpfully points out
that the former "Alias" second banana is "kind of
shy" and the actress was the "aggressor."
Aniston's rep, however, denies she's found herself a brand new Brad.
"It was not a romantic dinner," spokesman Stephen Huvane scoffs to MSN
Entertainment, "and they were not alone."
(Besides, we always figured Jennifer would be a better match for that other
easy-on-the-eyes "Alias" bachelor, Michael Vartan.)
Meanwhile, Cooper's apparent weakness for hard-bodied actresses supposedly
extends to Diaz, who was recently spotted "all over" the lately dreamboat-y John Mayer at a New York hot spot.
E! Online is convinced Cam has been seeing Bradley for a couple of weeks, and
says they've been sending "flirty" messages back and forth and "spending quite a
bit of time together."
The leggy actress, who's in New York filming "What Happens in
Vegas" with Ashton Kutcher, hasn't had the best luck with the
opposite sex since splitting from Justin Timberlake in January, what with her misguided liaison
with perma-stubbled, publicity-loving illusionist Criss Angel and all (rumors of a romance with her
"Holiday" co-star Jude Law have been roundly
dismissed).
But has she ditched her fledgling coupling with Mayer in favor of a dalliance
with Cooper?
When we contacted her rep about the wooing whispers, we received a short but
polite, "Sorry, no comment."
The actor's mouthpiece, however, insists to E! that the hookup chatter is
"not true."
As for Cooper's ex, she's trying to put their ill-fated union behind her
(their divorce will be finalized in November).
"It is what it should be," Esposito sighs to People. "You have to move on.
That's what life is about; taking a situation, making the best of it and moving
on."
