If Kirsten Dunst's exes are any indication, she has a soft spot for both easy-on-the-eyes actors (Jake Gyllenhaal) and shaggy-haired, hipster-ish musicians (Razorlight rocker Johnny Borrell), but the rumor mill can't seem to decide which creative type she currently prefers, so it's linking her to both. First up is Justin Long, whom the actress was spotted looking cozy with in New York last month, not long after he split from Drew Barrymore after almost a year of nonstop tongue-wrestling. While insiders have insisted Dunst and the pucker-prone actor-cum-Mac guy are just pals, the New York Daily News says there was some serious spit-swapping going on at a Los Angeles music festival last weekend. They "were making out hard-core while waiting in line for margaritas," a snitch tattles to the paper. "They were holding hands and were all over each other." But not to be outdone, the London Sun claims Kirsten has her eye on MGMT front man Andrew VanWyngarden, who, coincidentally enough, just denied rumors that he's dating Borrell's rocker ex, Fabiola Gatti. Seems the starlet, who in recent months has also been linked to New York DJ Matt Creed, has been seen at a few of the Brooklyn-based indie band's shows. "Kirsten met Andrew at a gig in New York in July and set her sights on him then," a source conclusion-leaps to the tab. When contacted for comment about the hookup reports, Dunst's spokesman sidestepped a direct response and instead weighed in on the futility of battling romance-related rumblings. "We really, as a policy, don't like to comment on rumors surrounding the personal lives of clients," Stephen Huvane explains to MSN Entertainment. "They are, for the most part, fabricated on a regular basis, and commenting on them when they are so often wrong would require us to comment on the rare occasion they are right." Concludes the mouthpiece, who also reps ubiquitous tab topper Jennifer Aniston (see next story), "It makes no difference what we say -- tabloids and gossips are in the business of making something out of nothing." |
