Is Kirsten Dunst promoting the stereotype of the Ugly American during her extended stay in London? Seems the snaggletoothed starlet, 25, who's in the land of bangers and mash filming the oh-so-appropriately titled "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People," has the residents of her exclusive neighborhood steaming because of her noisy, late-night antics.

"Kirsten isn't very popular in Islington at the moment," a spy reveals to the London Daily Mail. "The locals are incensed that she's changing the tone of the area."

Dunst, who is reportedly renting a $4 million pad, has kept the locals awake with her "wild garden parties and thumping music," a snitch tells Us Weekly.

"It seems that all that goes on there in the evenings are drunken parties after she's brought tons of people from their local pub," says the source. "It may sound cool and very rock star, but their neighborhood is mainly populated by middle-class families who don't expect this kind of racket in their area."

A trio of families has filed formal noise complaints against the actress for turning their "peaceful neighborhood" into "party central," explains the Mail's mole.

Kirsten's alleged decorum transgressions include "shouting ... banging on the walls, people being sick in the garden, loud heavy rock music that vibrates through the walls, the list goes on," sighs the insider to Us.

Unfortunately, the residents may have little recourse right now because of the long lead-time for noise issues to be addressed.

Still, Dunst shouldn't be surprised if her neighbors turn up at her doorstep wielding the British equivalent of torches and pitchforks, namely, polite requests to pipe down.

"I've heard that the neighbors are putting together a petition with all the other families on that street," says the mag's source. "They're planning to pass it on to Kirsten's house and to [a local official]. Hopefully she's a smart enough girl to know not to break the law."

No word on whether Dunst plans to move out after production wraps, although she does have another incentive to stay in town.

Despite recent split rumors, she's still very much coupled up with London-based Razorlight front man Johnny Borrell, whom she began dating in March.

The straggly squeezes were snapped on Monday strolling through a London park.
